A Maritime Museum in Morro Bay, California.  Who knew?

For those who like weekend adventures, amongst other things, an outdoor, “open air” Museum might be just the ticket as a

worthwhile destination.

Located in Morro Bay near the Embarcadero Waterfront, and across from the South T-Pier, is the aptly named the Morro Bay Maritime Museum.  Established in 1994, this museum is dedicated to preserving the maritime history of California as well as promoting an educational focus on Marine Science and Technology.

Many of this museum’s attractions are visible from the outside. On the inside, other historical exhibits and interesting souvenirs are made available during their temporarily reduced weekend visiting hours from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

As there are a plethora of places to visit on the Morro Bay Embarcadero, if you are not careful, you could blink and miss out on a wonderful opportunity to make a quick museum stop that might be enjoyed by both children and adults alike.
